Chris Hyndman Co-Host of CBC's 'Steven and Chris' Dead

CBC television host Chris Hyndman has died according to the Canadian broadcaster.

Hyndman was part of the duo Steven and Chris and worked with long-time partner Steven Sabados on the lifestyle show. The death appears to be sudden as the duo posted a photo of themselves on vacation just two days ago.

Hyndman was born in Ottawa, Ontario but grew up in Paradise, Newfoundland and starred in the first three seasons of Designer Guys. In 2003, Sabados and Hyndman debuted a new show titled Design Rivals, and then the makeover show So Chic with Steven and Chris.

No details have been released regarding the cause of Hyndman’s death. He was 49 years old.

The CBC has released a statement following Hyndman's death:

"It is with profound sadness that we share the news Christopher Hyndman died early this morning. We extend our deepest sympathies to Steven, family, friends and colleagues; our thoughts are with them all."
