Toronto Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly ran over a cyclist after he was slapped by the biker.
On October 4th at around 2:53 p.m., a 53-year-old man was riding a bicycle eastbound on College Street near Euclid. The cyclist approached a man who was standing in the bike lane, attempting to cross the street. Video surveillance shows what appears to be the man slapping the pedestrian, and continuing on down the street.
The video then shows the pedestrian getting into a black BMW and taking off in the direction of the cyclist. At some point down the street the cyclists and BMW collided and the driver failed to remain at the scene of the collision.
The cyclist suffered serious non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.
The man is described as non-white, 5'8", with a medium build. The vehicle is believed to be a 2001-2005 BMW M3 or 3 series, two door, black in colour, with black rims. The vehicle will have damage to the right front and possibly right side.
