Man and boy wanted on Canada-wide warrant for violent kidnapping

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for two young men who are wanted in connection to a kidnapping investigation in Toronto.

Both men are considered armed and dangerous and are alleged to be involved in an altercation on April 19 that led to the kidnapping of two boys. According to police, during the early morning hours an altercation occurred between a group of people in the Front Street West/ Blue Jays Way area. The altercation led to the kidnapping of two boys who were held against their will at several locations throughout the city.

According to police, over the course of two days the boys were repeatedly assaulted and threatened with firearms and a ransom was demanded to secure their release. On Thurs., April 21 they were released and two days later one of the suspects, a 19-year-old, was arrested. Over the next two days’ police arrested a 23-year-old, 18-year-old, and 16-year-old suspect in connection to the kidnapping.

Police are now looking for two more suspects, a 17-year-old and Lincoln Anthony Richards, aged 23. Police have obtained judicial authorization to identify the youth in order to help capture him.

Video footage shared by the Toronto Police Service shows the altercation in an elevator prior to the kidnapping.
