It was an emotional and teary-eyed plea from the family of Taliyah Leigh Marsman as they come to grips with the reality unfolding around them.

Scott Hamilton, Marsman’s uncle, spoke about his now deceased sister Sara Baillie who was found in her home in Calgary.

“We’ve lost a niece, a sister, a daughter and mother within the last 12 hours. God rest her soul. We’re also here to plead to those who have taken Taliyah Leigh Marsman, Sara’s daughter. Please return her. Drop her off at an RCMP station, Calgary Police service station, grocery store, gas station, wherever you want. Contact the family, we will come and pick her up,” Hamilton said as he choked back tears.

Hamilton said there will be no questions asked for her safe return and that they love and miss her and they just want her back.

An Amber Alert has been issued in Alberta for the missing five-year-old after Baillie’s body was found in their Panamount Boulevard home Monday night. Police are treating the death as suspicious and issued an Amber Alert in the early hours on Tuesday.

Marsman is described as mixed race with a slim build, brown curly hair and blue eyes (which were originally reported as brown). The child is believed to have been abducted by an unknown person.

Her estranged father has been contacted and is said to be cooperating with the police investigation. No suspect has been identified by police.
