If you’re looking for a token to remember the royal visit by, you can now get a silver collectors coin.

The Royal Canadian Mint has produced a new silver collector coin to celebrate the visit to Canada by the royal family.

"The Government of Canada is thrilled that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are on their second visit to Canada and we are especially delighted that Prince George and Princess Charlotte could join them," said the Honourable Bill Morneau, Minister of Finance.

"The pride of Canadians in this historic moment will be permanently reflected in the silver coin that the Royal Canadian Mint has finely crafted to mark this occasion."

The Mint has created several coins in honour of Canada’s Royal Family and the new coin will celebrate the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

A full-colour reproduction of a family picture will be on the 99.99 per cent pure silver coin. The picture will be framed by an outer rim that includes four engraved maple leaves to represent every family member.

The other side of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

You can order the coin online or by contacting the Royal Canadian Mint.
