A WestJet pilot surprised hangry Air Canada passengers on Wednesday after their flights got rerouted while traveling to St. John’s.

The situation occurred after an Air Canada plane flying from Toronto to St. John’s couldn’t land due to bad weather conditions. As a result, the plane temporarily landed late at night in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

According to passenger John Samms, a WestJet pilot then appeared and offered everyone pizza.

An Air Canada employee then attempted to respond to the WestJet pilot's offer as well as make up for the inconvenience by offering a $10 voucher to passengers.

However, according to Samms, there was no way to use the voucher as there were no restaurants.

Then, the pizza ordered by the WestJet pilot arrived!

The pilot who ordered the pizza will go down as a legend and maybe make people think twice about which airline to choose when flying to their next destination.
