The Government of Canada released their second budget on Wednesday and will be plunging further into a deficit.
With a deficit comes spending in a variety of areas, many of which they gave details on in Budget 2017.

Digital skills training
One of the highlights is to move Canada forward when it comes to digital technologies, the Government will invest $50 million over two years for digital skills and coding training to girls and boys from kindergarten to grade 12. For more on the digital and skills training portion of the budget.
Infrastructure
When it comes to infrastructure, the Government will be putting a focus on getting clean drinking water to citizens all over the country.
In 2016, 18 long-term drinking water advisories in First Nations communities were lifted and the Liberal government said they are on track to eliminate all remaining advisories by March 2021.
Long term, the Government said they will be investing over $11 billion in support of a National Housing Strategy, including $225 million to improve housing conditions for Indigenous Peoples not living on-reserve.

Tax fairness
The Liberal government has pledged to crack down on tax cheats by investing over $500 million in preventing tax evasion and improve tax compliance. For more click here.
Strength and equality
The Government of Canada has reached new health funding agreements with the 12 provinces and territories that have accepted the federal offer of $11 billion over 10 years to provide new and improved home care and mental health support for Canadian families.
They will also put a focus on creating gender equality in the workplace and work to reduce gender based violence.
