An Ontario-based medical cannabis producer has announced it was entered an agreement with Canadian pharmacy chain Shoppers Drug Mart to become a supplier.
Aphria Inc announced the agreement yesterday, saying that it is subject to Health Canada’s approval of Shoppers Drug Mart’s application to be a licensed producer.
The company also said that should they be approved, the products will be sold online, as Canadian regulations currently restrict the sale of medical cannabis in retail pharmacies.

Although marijuana isn’t legal yet, Shoppers Drug Mart has made steps towards preparing for it.
In November, Shoppers Drug Mart posted a job listing for a senior brand manager for its medical marijuana division.
