(UPDATE: Sept. 17) - The Amber Alert for a six-year-old girl who was abducted in Saskatchewan has been cancelled.

RCMP say the girl was located within the City of North Battleford this morning and is now being treated medically. 

(Original story: Sept. 16 @ 7:20 p.m.) - An Amber Alert has been issued following the abduction of a six-year-old female from North Battleford, Saskatchewan.

Emma O’Keeffe is Caucasian, three feet six inches tall and weighs 44 pounds. She suffers from epilepsy and autism and is unable to walk and speak.

She has brown, jaw-length hair and was last seen wearing a navy-blue, long-sleeve t-shirt, black jeans, pink socks, no shoes and a diaper.

At this time, police have no description of the suspect.

The abduction is believed to have occurred outside a strip mall at 11204 Railway Ave. North Battleford, Saskatchewan.

The suspect is believed to be driving a dark grey 2010 Mercedes Benz GL350 Bluetec SUV with the Saskatchewan license plate 897 HMX.

The direction of travel is unknown at this time.
