For the majority of Canadians, it’s either Telus, Rogers or Bell when it comes to picking a cell phone provider.
Choosing which of the three networks to rely on is always a difficult decision and can often come down to who is offering up the best deal.
However, The August Mobile Networks Update from OpenSignal, who analyzes consumer mobile experience, shows that one network stands above the rest.
After examining more than 438-million measurements across 173,628 devices between April 1 and June 29, OpenSignal found that Telus is Canada’s lead operator.
Telus was established as the best network for 4G availability, video experience, download speed experience and latency experience.
It also tied with Rogers for the best network when it comes to upload speed experience.
Telus is the first Canadian operator to hit 90% 4G availability, while both Bell and Telus have now broken the 50 Mbps download speed.
All three of Telus, Rogers and Bell have started conducting 5G network trials, but commercial 5G services like won’t launch until 2021.
