An Ontario woman has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a U.S. border officer at the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls, N.Y.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, she attempted to cross the border into Niagara Falls State Park on Sept. 2, but was denied entry due to past behaviour while crossing the border.

The woman allegedly then threatened the officer, and ended up slapping them in the face.

The woman, age 40, is now facing multiple charges including assault of an officer.
