Dreams came true this week for a terminally sick video game lover.
Chris Taylor, age 21, has terminal cancer, and he made the decision to decline further treatment in July, giving him an estimated three to six months left to live.
“After speaking with my oncologist, barring extreme circumstances, I decided to no longer pursue treatment,” Taylor announced on July 17 on his Twitter account.
Taylor's profile says that he is a three-time cancer survivor.
Taylor expressed one of his dying wishes on social media, which was to have the chance to play the games before he went. It may seem like a small thing, but for Taylor it was painful to be reminded that he may not get the chance to experience it.

“I know it’s childish to despair over a video game but Smash means a lot to me and when Ultimate looks so good it breaks my heart,” Taylor said earlier this month on his Twitter.
As a result of the post he made, friends of his decided to start a campaign online to see if they could garner enough attention to have Nintendo allow him to play the game while he was still alive and able.
And it worked.

Nintendo arrived at his house with a copy of the game on Sept. 21 thanks to the support from the online community.
Taylor got to play the game from the comfort of home for three hour with his friend, his brother, and his mother.
“Thanks so much guys,” he wrote to his followers. “This means so much to me.”
