Some good ol’ fashioned Canadian honesty was on display this week.

Pamela Murphy was simply looking for a sandwich from Tim Hortons on Wednesday, but she got so much more.

Instead of a sandwich, the Tim Hortons restaurant in Newfoundland gave Murphy a bag that was full of winning Roll Up the Rim tabs.

“So much for a sandwich at Tim Hortons,” she posted to Facebook with a picture of the bag. “It’s a good thing I’m honest!”

In the comments of her post, Murphy said she would return the bag full of prizes, and also shared an ironic tidbit as well.

She says she originally complained at the Tim Hortons, since her coffee didn’t come in a roll up cup.

When she did make it back to the store with the bag, she was given a $40 gift card for her honesty.

Murphy’s hoping some good karma comes her way, however, posting this in the comments of her Facebook post as well.

“Hope my 6/49 ticket is just as lucky!!”
