The YMCA of Okanagan has exciting opportunities for anyone who wants a fulfilling career as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE).

With the approved plans for a YMCA child care centre on Dilworth Mountain, the YMCA of Okanagan's child care division is officially growing and because of this, they're in need of qualified and/or aspiring ECE's!

If you love children and are interested in pursuing a career in childhood education, here are two reasons to consider this exciting career opportunity.

1. YMCA Will Pay For Your Education

The YMCA of Okanagan is offering an exciting Child Care Training Opportunity to those looking to obtain and advance their career as an ECE - AND they'll even pay for your education! The ECE course, which is 12 to 18 months, is an approximate cost of $15,000... but if you're the right person for the job, not only will the YMCA of Okanagan pay for your education (we know, we mentioned that, but c'mon, it's $15,000 that you won't have to pay), but they will also provide you with employment throughout the duration of your journey into becoming an ECE and while you are taking courses and working, you will have the support of ECE professionals who will support your learning.

This video shows a little snippet from the life of an ECE at the YMCA of Okanagan.

This video was filmed before the COVID-19 pandemic. Social gatherings look a little different right now.
