A Drupal development agency based in Kelowna, BC, Acro Media, is recruiting and will be hiring based on culture fit.

Students rejoice! Young professionals and savvy veterans unite! Gone are the days of the mandatory and arguably arbitrary years of experience in job applications.

Acro Media’s refreshing take on recruitment remains professional by valuing experience, prioritizing culture and creating a tantalizing opportunity that has modernized how employers evaluate their candidates in a way that infuses symbiosis with the existing team of people that, although this sounds cliche, are all unique in their own way.

This company has earned its high reputation over a span of 22 years by working incredibly hard to adapt to markets and persevere through recessions. Now, in the midst of a pandemic, Acro Media accelerates because they continue to focus on their clients and trust the team they’ve recruited and trained to help keep major brands on target by sharing their INSIGHTS. For a free trial of Acro Media's INSIGHTS, click here.

Everyone at this company unites over a common goal, which is the desire to take pride in their work, get the job done well and have a good time while doing it.

Does that sound like a culture fit for you? Keep reading to learn more about Acro Media and see some of the current job openings below.

Consider this: after you’ve found a job opportunity that interests and excites you, what’s the first thing you look at? It would likely be how much experience the employer wants.

For some, this becomes a skyscraping wall that halts your aspirations.

What Acro Media has done is chip away at this wall by defining their culture and creating a hiring process that breaks that barrier into nothing more than a minor speed bump.

In this regard, Shae Inglis, Acro Media’s CEO and co-founder said, “skills are important and can be picked up by the right person, but one thing you can’t train is the right attitude.”

Now that’s the type of statement any job-seeker would like to hear a leader profess of their profession.

This style of recruitment took root in 1998 when Shae and four others pooled together their savings and renovated a local skate and board shop, creating a full-service agency where they could provide everything from branding and marketing materials to custom software.

Bringing talent on board that fits their culture throughout these 22 years has allowed them to grow exponentially in becoming a Drupal development agency in Kelowna, BC with clients beyond the beautiful Okanagan Valley.

Aside from their team strengths, their excellence in enterprise e-commerce solutions and custom web development using the Drupal platform has helped Shae and the team create an encouraging creative space, build a positive work environment and become an employer of choice.

“We put a great deal of emphasis on culture in our hiring process and finding the right people that will be a positive member of a team,” said team member and Acro Media’s head of marketing, Stephanie Stefansson.

Another team member, Taylon Culling, Acro Media's Director of Project Management added, "To me, it's equally important to ensure that a potential hire has the right attitude and is a good cultural fit, as it is to make sure they have the right skill set for the position."

The hiring process at Acro Media is quite unique.

It’s more than just submitting a resume, having an interview and getting the job. They worry less about experience and skills and more about how you are going to fit with the team. The way they determine your fit in the culture is by taking their time to get to know you throughout multiple interviews and full-day job shadows.

And what’s great about this approach is that it gives you, the candidate, a chance to get to know and interview Acro Media yourself.

It’s rare that a company shows interest and invests their time so both you and the company can agree upon a mutual decision that’s going to be beneficial to both parties.

When you apply to Acro Media’s positions below, if you’re a good fit, they’ll start this hiring process by reaching out and potentially, you’ll be invited to see the inner-workings of Acro Media before you commit to spending the majority of your time there.

For a company, it’s commendable, admirable and falls in line with Acro Media’s success, which can be attributed to three key factors:

  1. Everyone understands the reason this business exists and not just what we do, but why we do it

  2. Every staff member understands how they impact and contribute to our company objectives

  3. We made a culture whereby everyone looks forward to coming to work every day

“I believe our continued success can be attributed to our drive to maintain that culture and passion we had back in those early days of 1998,” said Shae.

If you want to work with this exceptional group of people, in beautiful Kelowna, BC, be rewarded with numerous benefits and a terrific corporate culture, it's time to see where you fit in.
