As we continue our BC Giveaway Series with BC Dairy Association, we'll spotlight three more local Okanagan businesses through a series of giveaways that will be featured on the @KelownaNow Instagram page.

This giveaway series will highlight small dairy processors, cheese crafters, ice cream makers and other local businesses that use BC dairy to make their products. Many local businesses have been significantly impacted by the disruption of COVID-19 and need our support more than ever. These contests will give you the chance to win delicious local products while showing support for small businesses in the community.

To further support communities, BC’s dairy farmers will also donate $1 for every contest entry to Food Banks BC up to $20,000 (inclusive of the entire campaign).

For their third giveaway, let's have a look at Parlour Ice Cream.

Obsessed with local ingredients and unique flavour profiles, Parlour is proud to be the only place in Kelowna handcrafting premium ice cream on site.

Upon opening in August 2017, it was a dream come true for owner Omar D’Souza, who after moving to Kelowna in 2007 found it shocking that no one was utilizing the bounty around them to make quality ice cream here in the Kelowna.

With a focus on local, supporting Okanagan owned orchards, farms, bakeries and the like, Parlour is proud that when visitors seek to enjoy their ice cream that they’re helping to support a community around them.

“The dairy we use comes from one of BC’s finest dairy farms and the fruit used in all of our ice cream comes from Kelowna or is BC local, coming from farms such as Jackalope Farms, Fresh From the Farm and BC Tree Fruits," said Omar. "Our lavender comes from the Okanagan Lavender & Herb Farm and all the baked goods in our ice cream comes from Bread & Co. and The Salty Caramel Kitchen.”

They've truly partnered with the best of the best to bring out the finest of the Okanagan in their colourful and scrumptious ice cream collection.

With everything from lavender to birthday cake, Parlour Ice Cream has prepared something that will make everyone smile. Better yet, try it in their fresh house-made waffle cones!
