Last month, we took a look at how your bottle donations to the Columbia Bottle Depot employs people in your community in a feature titled Cheers to Careers.
This month, if you’d like to continue helping people in your community with diverse abilities and support a good cause while practising social distancing, here’s how:
Drop off your bottles, cans or recyclables in a bin outside the Columbia Bottle Depot at 1936 Kent Road. Please place your generous donation in the bin located at the rear corner of the building on Brendin Road.
Pathways Abilities Society has set up a quick pit stop bottle donation station at the Columbia Bottle Depot on the corner of Kent and Brendin Road, which is accessible off either Spall or Springfield Road.
Simply assemble your recyclable donations and drop them off in the bin located at the rear corner of the building.
Social distancing is being respected and the Pathways Abilities Society employees who are working daily to sort and recycle returns will not remove the donations from the bin until you've departed.
If you’re feeling generous and would like to give to others who are in need of a chance to succeed, 100% of the bottle donations go directly back into the Pathways Abilities Society employment program to pay the wages of those with diverse abilities.
Stay home. Stay safe. And after you’ve said "cheers," donate your empties to the Columbia Bottle Depot on the corner of Kent and Brendin Road to help someone in your community with limited options keep their job, earn an added sense of self-worth and of course, earn a wage that allows them to stay afloat in this stressful economic environment.
Remember, the donation bin is located at the rear corner of the Columbia Bottle Depot building on Brendin Road.
