Have you purchased your tickets for the Kelowna premiere of the Cheese and Meat Festival yet?

The Cheese and Meat Festival offers you a chance to taste your way through international and local goods paired with artisanal beverages— all with a single ticket.

Over the next few weeks leading up to the festival, we will be spotlighting some of the amazing vendors and products you can expect to see, smell and taste!

Introducing Fortune Creek

On a warm and sunny day in March, Fortune Creek came to life.

Based in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, this family business offers wholesome food items inspired by cherished childhood memories of a simpler time. They’ve been in the business of sharing delicious recipes since 1981, producing all their goods onsite in their Kelowna location, using only the freshest locally sourced ingredients.

Fortune Creek offers all the best of what your heart desires, from meats and cheeses to fudge and even pickles! For the festival, they’ll be handing out samples of a fan favourite— Double Smoked Mennonite Ham Sausage!

“A traditional family recipe. Delightful on its own or served with perogies or with our Gouda cheeses,” as they describe it, this Smoked Mennonite Ham Sausage is the perfect balance of seasoning and smokiness!

This will be their first time participating in the annual event which also takes place across Victoria, Vancouver, Seattle and Portland.

“We are truly excited to [offer] sample[s] of our family recipes and educate the guests about our products!” says the team at Fortune Creek.

The Cheese and Meat Festival will take place in The Laurel Packinghouse at 1304 Ellis St, Kelowna, BC V1Y 1Z9 on May 13th, 2023. Your ticket grants you access to a two hour tasting session with a personal charcuterie board and glass in hand.
