HOPE Outreach will be hosting their 3rd Annual Story of Hope Gala on Friday, April 8, 2022, and hope you will join them in supporting our community's most vulnerable members, celebrating the incredible work of the organization, and sustaining the valuable work that lies ahead in the months and years to come.

The funds raised at the HOPE Gala will be used to continue providing vital supplies and support to those in critical circumstances and experiencing chronic homelessness in the Okanagan.

This year's event will be hosted by the lovely City Counsellor, Loyal Wooldridge and BeachFM host Toby Tannas. Guests will get to see a live performance from internationally acclaimed Violinist Sophie Armstrong whose goal is to share her story and accompany others’ stories through music.

Accompanying Sophie's inspiring performance will be the highly professional and talented Ballet dancers of Mission Dance & Kelowna Ballet, who is entering its 19th year in the Okanagan as one of the most acclaimed ballet and dance schools in the region.

Together, Sophie and the incredible ballet dancers will perform and tell the story of HOPE during the beautiful and moving evening to support HOPE Outreach, its important community services and its mission to support women who experience vulnerability on their journey to realizing their potential of living a safe and healthy life.

The gala will also provide delicious food from Relvas Catering, which has a passion for turning locally sourced ingredients into delicious, high-quality meals. In addition, there will be amazing local wine from a local favourite, Summerhill Winery, which uses organically and biodynamically grown grapes from the Okanagan Valley to make their international award-winning wine.

If you’re not a wine drinker, there will be refreshing craft beer from the acclaimed Kelowna brewery, Barn Owl Brewing available to guests. The silent auction features generous donations that have been donated by supportive local businesses and sponsors.

This year's event is limited to 220 guests, so make sure to reserve a table early! If you are unable to attend or book a table in time, you can make a donation to the cause here, or sign up to become a monthly donor to the cause.

Some of the valuable resources HOPE Okanagan offers include their nighttime outreach program, which offers homeless and exploited women living on the streets supply bags containing hygiene items, snacks, warm clothing, and other harm reduction items that attend to their immediate needs. Their volunteers are on the streets of downtown Kelowna and Vernon seven nights a week.

Proceeds from this family-friendly event will help bring these vital services and supplies to those in life and death circumstances and experiencing chronic homelessness and serious adversity. With your help, HOPE Outreach can continue to bring hope to the most vulnerable members of our community.

If you are not able to attend the event on April 8th, you can still change the lives of people in our community experiencing homelessness by donating here.
