For the past 10 years, Kelowna’s Swinging with the Stars event has been entertaining attendees while raising significant funds for the Central Okanagan Hospice Association (COHA).

This year’s performance, which takes place on Saturday, Feb. 23rd, 2019 at the Grand Okanagan Resort, is expected to be the best yet with a record number of eager participants. Similar to the hit TV show, Dancing with the Stars, this annual event features local ‘celebrities’ and professional dancers who spend months learning routines to dazzle the audience and hopefully take home one of the three trophies — Most Pledges Raised, Audience Choice and Judges’ Choice.

One company in particular has really stepped up its participation this year, and has even been organizing its own set of fundraising initiatives in support of the COHA. Westwood Fine Cabinetry is aiming to raise $15,000 with your help!

Two of Westwood’s fundraising events, Step Up to the Tee and Step Up to the Plate, have already taken place and were a great success. If you missed out, don’t worry — there are still several ways to get involved!

Two Step at the OK Corral

Country lovers, get your dancin’ boots ready! On Jan. 18th, 2019, Westwood is hosting a lively event complete with complimentary line dancing and two step lessons, mechanical bull riding by donation, a live music performance by Teigen Gayse, a 50/50 raffle and a live auction.

Whether or not you’re a diehard country music fan, this event will surely be a blast, with all proceeds going to the COHA.

Tickets are only $10 ahead of time, or $15 at the door. This one is sure to sell out, so giddy up and get your tickets while they last! Tickets can be purchased by phone at 250-860-3900, email or at any of the Westwood showrooms. Yeehaw!
