Kelowna is home to some incredibly talented, young athletes.

This year, the Kelowna Minor Hockey Association U15 Tier 2 Rockets will be hosting the 2023 BC Hockey Championships. Whereby, the top 9 teams in BC will face-off at the Capital News Centre (CNC) for the 2023 Provincial Championship title!

Following the Kelowna Rockets’ triumphant BC Championship win last year, they are looking to regain their title as the U15 Tier 2 winners and start a tradition going forward.

They are back ready to showcase their skill, determination and athleticism to come out on top again!

Alongside the Kelowna Rockets, the other eight teams competing include: Cranbrook Bucks, Williams Lake Timberwolves, Fort St John Flyers, Greater Trail Smokies, Peninsula Eagles, Penticton Vees, Sea to Sky Bears and Port Coquitlam Pirates.

These teams will play against each other over the course of a few days starting Mar. 20 up until the semi-finals and finals which will be played on Mar. 23.

Come along and cheer on the Rockets! The fast-paced, action packed games will leave you on the edge of your seat anticipating more.

Throughout the tournament, you have a chance to win various prizes including gift cards, raffle baskets and items open for bids in the silent auction! Which features signed jerseys, pictures from NHL stars, hockey sticks and more!

The 50/50 raffle is back and will be running during the tournament starting Mar. 16 with the draw on Mar. 23.  Not only do you have an opportunity to win big bucks but this raffle also  raises money to help cover the expenses of hosting the Championship tournament.

Make sure to visit the  2023 BC Hockey Championship website for a full schedule and a look at the items that are available for auction and for the raffle. Join in the fun and cheer your Rockets on  Mar. 20 - 23 at the CNC. There is NO admission to enter the CNC during the tournament.

The Kelowna Rockets U15 Team would like to thank all the sponsors and donors who have provided generous support to help make this event happen.
