This winter is the perfect time to visit the South Okanagan.

From Nov. 25 to Dec. 3, you can be a part of the first-ever South Okanagan Fire and Ice Festival.

The South Okanagan Fire and Ice Festival will be filled with tons of amazing events for foodies and fun-seekers alike! Throughout the festival, there will be free and ticketed events including plenty of family-friendly happenings throughout both the Oliver and Osoyoos communities.

This unique festival has been developed by the Osoyoos Indian Band, Oliver Tourism Association and Destination Osoyoos in partnership with the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) to showcase the beautiful area and bring British Columbians together to celebrate winter.

Mark your calendars

The first annual festival will feature three extraordinary signature events between Oliver and Osoyoos along with some fantastic partner events. The festivities will focus on bringing together local cultures, cuisine, artists, musicians, performers and some other surprises too.

Some of these remarkable events will include a Winter Market at the District Wine Village, Osoyoos Artisan Market and the Osoyoos Lite Up and Parade, with more events being added each week.

Nov. 25

Kick off the event on Nov. 25 at the Oliver Visitor Center. This free event, presented by TOTA, is open to all ages.

Reconnect in the South Okanagan and enjoy the annual Oliver Community Light Up and fireworks, plus a concert on Station Street with food trucks, artists and Indigenous performances.

Afterwards, head on over to Venables Theatre in Oliver to see local Indigenous singer-songwriter Francis Baptiste! Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here.

Nov. 26 and 27

The next day on Nov. 26, head over to Gyro Beach in Osoyoos from noon until 6:30 pm and enjoy a full day of live music, performances, artists, food trucks, and more downtown! This event also being presented by TOTA is free and open to all ages.

On the same day, you can head over to Spirit Ridge Resort from 6 pm to 9 pm for the Fire and Ice Carnival!

Sample the best local wine, beer, and spirits from the finest producers in the South Okanagan as you enjoy food pairings at Spirit Ridge Resort in a carnival atmosphere with roving performers, live music, and much more. Tickets can be purchased here

Nov. 26 to 27, beginning at noon until 4 pm, you can support local businesses at The District Wine Village for a free outdoor Winter Market.
