The 12th Annual Wilson M. Beck Charity Golf Tournament is back at the Kelowna Golf and Country Club on July 18 in support of the YMCA of Okanagan

The event takes place from 12 to 9 pm and includes a golf tournament for 160 golfers, as well as both a live and online auction, with 100% of the proceeds staying local and going directly towards supporting families in need.

The YMCA of Okanagan is a charity dedicated to strengthening the foundations of community.

Steven Pavelich, board member of the YMCA of Okanagan and managing partner of Wilson M. Beck Insurance Services (Kelowna) Inc, said the reach the YMCA has in the community from school-aged children to seniors is heartwarming.

Everyone can access vital services for their health and well-being at the YMCA, whether it be through cardiac rehabilitation, swim lessons, fitness challenges, child care, career development services, mental health support or financial assistance.

While there is a waitlist to register for the 18-hole golf tournament, there are plenty of online auction items to bid on in support of the YMCA of Okanagan.

The online auction is open July 4-20 and some of the items include:

Pavelich said he is a very proud title sponsor.

“Our intention was to get a charity that we could provide some financial support to and really embrace, and that’s what we’ve done as an organization,” he explained.

All profits made at the YMCA of Okanagan through a membership, camp, or swim lesson is reinvested back into the community.
