Did you know that all of those empties piling up at home can go to a good cause? And all you need to do is drop them off at one of the three Columbia Bottle Depot locations?

That’s right! Donating your recyclables is one of the most positive ways to impact someone’s life in Kelowna and contribute to keeping our community strong.

100% of each donation goes directly to the Pathways Abilities Society employment and community activity opportunities. This revenue source makes a positive impact on the lives of individuals with diverse abilities.

Many individuals are employed full-time or part-time at the Columbia Bottle Depot in the Pathways Sorting Depot section of the recycling establishment.

What’s even cooler is that you will see enthusiastic dedicated employees sorting donated product throughout the week!

Your donations are re-allocated to the hard-working employees at the Pathways Sorting Depot for their wages, providing better independence as community members in the workforce.

Next time you have recyclables, consider donating them to Pathways by simply dropping them off at one of the Columbia Bottle Depot Pathways donation stations (Dease Rd. St Paul Street & Bredin Rd) between 8:30 am and 3 pm seven days a week.

Are your kids growing out of their bikes quicker than you hoped? We have good news for you.

BikeWays is a local bike shop that provides refurbished, gently used bikes at an affordable price.

Also partnered with Pathways, diverse employees work with coaches to refurbish bikes, which are then sold to the community.

Similar to the bottle depot, revenues from the sale of bikes go towards wages paid to employees who are diverse and dedicated.

You can save hundreds of dollars on your new bike purchase at BikeWays while supporting individuals with diverse abilities and their careers!

Right now there are tons of kid's bikes available, as well as special summer pricing on top of already reduced prices so you can make the most of the warm weather, adventuring through the Okanagan.

You can also find quality commuter and road bikes, cruisers, BMX and mountain bikes along with much more at the shop, located at 1216 St. Paul Street.

Each purchase makes a difference. You can leave feeling good about the impact you made on a dedicated team member of BikeWays and your brand new bike purchase too!

Visit BikeWays at the St. Paul location from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 3 pm to browse their large selection of high-quality and refurbished bikes.
