There is nothing better than enjoying fruits and vegetables grown in our own backyard, which is made easy at the Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market.
The market is home to more than 165 vendors – many of whom are local farmers providing delicious and fresh produce such as cherries, peaches, spinach, onions and so much more. Plus, the downtown Kelowna Satellite Market is in full swing on Sundays from 9 am to 2 pm until September 11th so you can purchase tasty local produce all weekend long!
It can be hard to know when your favourite fruits and vegetables are in season, but thankfully the market has provided a list to help us choose the best quality produce at the perfect time.
Even though the summer season has just begun, the market has been open since April and is already full of produce options!

Local farmers are often available to answer questions about the unique and regional products and flavours of the Okanagan Valley, which comes in handy when trying out new recipes!
If you are looking for more than fruits and vegetables, there are vendors for locally raised meat and eggs, artisanal cheese, preserves and honey to complete your grocery list in just one stop.
Shopping for produce at the market is a great way to ensure you are getting the best quality possible.
Supporting these vendors is also a way to reduce your carbon footprint because the fresh produce at BC farmers’ markets travel less than 300 km – to put that into perspective, the average North American meal travels 2,400 km.
Every dollar spent at the market goes to local growers, makers and bakers, which strengthens the local economy.
Visit the Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market this summer on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 am to 1 pm at the corner of Dilworth and Springfield until October!
If you can't make it on Wednesday or Saturday, you can visit the Satellite Market on Sundays at Kerry Park in downtown Kelowna from 9 am to 2 pm until September 11th!
