KelownaNow is teaming up with the Kelowna Farmer’s and Crafter’s Market to keep the city up to date on what they can expect from the market each month.

From seasonal produce and blooms to favourite vendors and events, this is where you will want to come to help plan your weekly market trips!

According to Frances Callaghan, market coordinator, May is all about greens! Fresh asparagus, kale, spinach and more await your smoothies and salads. Not only that, but a few pops of red can be found in the form of small strawberry batches.

As for events, you can look forward to celebrating all things mom at this Saturday’s Mother’s Day Market where you will find bouquets of flowers and sweetly-scented hanging baskets, tea, treats and unique handcrafted items that mom will love.

The market will also take another crack at their Artisans Festival on Saturday, May 18 as the April showers put a damper on the original event.

Wednesday’s are a great day to enjoy the ‘Taste of the Market’ specials to learn how to use local ingredients in your everyday meals.

Head to the corner of Springfield and Dilworth between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. every Wednesday and Saturday to enjoy all that the Kelowna Farmer’s and Crafter’s Market has to offer.
