There’s something about a fresh-baked croissant that makes it a delicious bakery staple. They can be sweet, savoury, or just plain buttery, and they’re the perfect accompaniment to your daily coffee or tea. Here are a few places around town that make delectable croissants!

Okanagan Grocery

Okanagan Grocery excels at all things baked, and their croissants are no exception. Buttery, flaky, and a perfect balance of crisp edges and soft interior, these croissants are just the thing to elevate your morning. It’s fresh-baked simple perfection!

Sandrine’s French Pastry

Sandrine’s bakes authentic croissants fresh every day, and their Pain au Chocolat is a taste of France right here Kelowna. One bite of this lush and buttery pastry with its dark chocolate center, and you’ll feel like you’re in a Montmartre bakery with accordion music serenading you. Make sure you go early for these decadent pastries though, because they’re best warm out of the oven, and they do sell out!

Waterfront Café and Catering

Waterfront Wines’ newest addition to the Kelowna bakery scene, Waterfront Café, is baking up some luscious treats fresh every morning. You’ll find everything there from donuts to cookies, but their Double-Baked Almond Croissant is a force to be reckoned with. They say “one bite and you’re hooked” and they’re not joking: this sweet croissant is filled with almond cream, then topped off with slivered almonds, sugar glaze, and a light dusting of powdered sugar. It’s sweet, nutty, and buttery, and will become your favourite breakfast treat!

The Bread Co.

At The Bread Co. Kelowna, you’ll find their delicious Ham and Cheese Croissant. When it’s served freshly baked, still warm out of the oven, it’s absolutely delectable. Gooey cheese with black forest ham all tucked inside a crisp croissant exterior, it will satisfy your every savoury craving. It’s great all by itself, but even more delicious when dunked into one of the Bread Co’s excellent soups.

350 Bakehouse

350 bakes everything from scratch, and they have a killer sandwich selection, so it only makes sense that they would turn their homemade croissants into a Breakfast Croissant Sandwich. It’s a soft, all-butter croissant, filled with egg, back bacon, cheese, and veggies. What a way to start the day! They also have a homemade Ham & Cheese croissant, made with their own hand-carved ham. Now that’s “from scratch!”

Cobs Bread

Cobs has a delicious Valentine’s Day treat for you: their Raspberry and Chocolate croissant! Share one of these decadent pastries with your Valentine, or enjoy one all to yourself (that seems more fun). They’re the perfect blend of bittersweet chocolate and tangy raspberry on a buttery pastry. If you’re not into sweets, Cobs also makes a delicious Spinach and Feta croissant that makes for an excellent vegetarian snack.

Whether you’re into sweet, savoury, or simple, you can #TreatYoSelf to one of these decadent croissants around town. What better way to put some deliciousness into your day!
