Last night, a man drove a vehicle into a nightclub in Gravesend, England, injuring 13 people.

Kent Police say they were called at 11:47 p.m. local time and have arrested a 22-year-old on suspicion of attempted murder. He is believed to have been asked to leave the club, Blake’s, earlier in the evening after an altercation.

The man, who was driving a Suzuki Vitara, suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution, but police say he is currently in custody.

‘This was a frightening experience for everyone involved and it is a miracle that nobody was killed,” said David Chewter, chief inspector. “At least 13 people were hurt but none of their injuries are described as life-threatening or life-changing.”

Police are not treating the incident as terror-related.
