Police Search for Suspect After Deputy Killed at Texas Gas Station

Police in Houston, Texas are in search of a suspect after a deputy was shot and killed at a gas station Friday night.

Deputy Darren Goforth was pumping gas into his vehicle at a Chevron gas station when he was shot multiple times from behind.

Goforth was a ten-year veteran of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has released photos of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle and have recovered security footage from the incident, police said at a press conference.

The suspect is describe as a male with a dark complexion between 5’10” and 6’ tall. He was wearing a white t-shirt and red shorts and was driving a red extended cab Ford Ranger.

The suspect is guessed to be between 20 and 25 years old with short hair.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident.
