It is a sight that would be familiar to many residents in B.C. as summer begins.

Bears are waking up from hibernation and eagerly looking for food, often coming face to face with humans in their search.

That was the case for a North Carolina family Monday. Driving down a country, the family came face-to-face with five bears.

The video recorded by the family shows one of the bear cubs start walking toward the family car, before deciding to turn around and join the others.

Just when the family thinks they are safe to pass, a group of bikers comes down the street, stopping instantly at the sight of the bear family.

Luckily for all involved, the bears left peacefully and the onlookers were left without injury, but with a unique story to share.
