UPDATE:

Law enforcement officials have arrested a suspect in connection to last Friday’s shooting at Cascade Mall in Burlington.

According to the  the Skagit County Department of Emergency Management, 20-year-old Arcan Cetin was arrested at approximately 6:30 p.m. Saturday night.

In a media release the Skagit County Department of Emergency Management says the Oak Harbor man was arrested thanks to a tip from the public, which lead them to associates and family of the suspected shooter.

From there, the DEM said investigators reviewed security footage from nearby businesses and identified the suspect’s vehicle.

So far, they say they haven’t yet established any motive for the shooting, but plan to search Cetin’s home and vehicle for more information.

The Skagit County Coroner is expected to release more information about the victims on Monday.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Five people lost their lives on Friday evening as a lone shooter opened fire inside Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington.

The shooter, who left the scene before police arrived, is being described as a Hispanic male wearing grey. He is still on the loose and was last seen travelling towards Interstate 5, which is about one hour north of Seattle.

Four women died inside the mall as a result of the shooting and a fifth man died at hospital because of critical injuries.

According to Sgt. Mark Francis, survivors and those inside the mall were transported to a church following the shooting.

The suspect was seen walking into the mall alone. Minutes later, he was seen with a rifle inside Macy's. During a press conference streamed live on Periscope, officers said the rifle was found at the scene after the shooter fled.

Eleven search teams and two K9 teams were on location at the mall trying to unlock doors and find all survivors inside.
