The large crowd listened and rallied behind multiple speakers from the First Nations, LGBTQ and Women's Rights groups stressing the importance of unity and inclusion.

Many signs promoting love and woman's rights could be seen in the crowd, all wearing pink in support of the Women's March movement.

Sister marches were held all over the world and cities across Canada including Vancouver and Victoria.

The event comes a day after the U.S. presidential inauguration and it's mission statement calls to "Stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families - recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country."
