It’s the type of comeback you might make a movie about.

The UEFA Champions League saw one of the best comebacks in soccer, or football as they’d call it across the pond, history on Wednesday.

After losing 4-0 in the first game of a two-game aggregate series on Valentine’s Day, F.C. Barcelona needed to beat Paris St. Germain F.C. by five goals on Wednesday to advance to the next round.

Despite arguably being the best soccer team in the world, Barcelona had their backs up against the wall.

Things started off well for the Spanish side, when Luis Suarez opened the scoring just three minutes in.

The club then got another pair of goals in the 50th and 60th minutes and the comeback started to look a bit more realistic.

Their hopes took a huge hit, however, when Paris St. Germain came back with a goal of their own, making it 3-1 Barcelona on the evening, but 5-3 on aggregate in favour of the French side.

As the game approached the 90th minute, a comeback looked virtually impossible for Barcelona, and Paris St. Germain might have thought that a little too early.

Barcelona got a goal in the 88th minute and another pair of quick strikes in injury time to complete a comeback that can only be labelled as insane.

The final score was 6-1 Barcelona, giving them a 6-5 aggregate win over the French side and a ticket to the Champions League quarter-finals.
