Buildings and monuments in big cities across the world are being lit red, white and blue for Manchester in honor of those who lost their lives in a terrorist incident that occurred at Manchester Arena on Monday night.

Other countries also paid tribute to the victims of the attack in different ways.

In France, the lights were turned off on the Eiffel Tower at midnight.

The European Union dropped all of it’s 28 flags to half mast for the day.

Since the attack, social media has been flooded with posts from around the world paying tributes to those who died and highlighting how people are standing in solidarity with Manchester.

In total, it’s been reported that 22 people were killed and 59 others were injured after an attacker detonated explosives inside Manchester arena.

Following the attack, the British Prime Minister Theresa May raised the terror threat level from severe to critical.

The tragic incident serves as yet another uncomfortable reminder that we live in a world where terrorism can occur at any time and in any place. However, The display of global support in the aftermath of the attack serves as a testament to the fact that terror and fear can't overcome compassion and love.
