Buckingham Palace looks a little different these days.

The iconic home of the Royal Family in London, England is currently illuminated with a special rainforest projection.

It’s lit up as part of the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy (QCC), which was conceived in 2015.

The QCC is a unique network of forest conservation initiatives that involves all 53 Commonwealth countries.

It takes on projects that focus on sustainable forest conservation and encourage the participation of locals.

The only Canadian project currently on the go is in British Columbia, as the QCC has established a $1 million Great Bear Rainforest Education and Awareness Trust.

Today, a special documentary will be broadcasted, which features Queen Elizabeth II and Sir David Attenborough discussing the QCC and the Great Bear Rainforest project.

The project was officially dedicated to the QCC by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when they visited B.C. in 2016.
