A resident from Florida has just won the fourth largest Mega Millions jackpot in history.

The winner of Friday night's jackpot won $450 million. The Mega Millions ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven, located at 7131 Ridge Rd. in Port Richey, FL.

The 7-Eleven retailer is also receiving $100,000 for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

Friday night's winning numbers were 28-30-39-59-70 and the Mega Ball was 10.

"Congratulations to Florida on their big jackpot win,” said Gordon Medenica, lead director of Mega Millions. "This has been an exciting run for Mega Millions players and a great way to start off the new year!"

Mega Millions winners have the option of taking a cash lump sum or an Annual Payout.

The annuity option results in one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments where each payment is roughly 5% larger than the previous.

"This helps protect winners' lifestyle and purchasing power in periods of inflation," stated a spokesperson for Mega Millions.

In the case of the $450 million winner, he or she has 180 days to come forward and claim the prize. But if he or she chooses the one-time, lump-sum cash payment (in the amount of $281.2 million), the claim must be filed within 60 days of the winning draw date.
