Imagine going down a slip and slide on a hot summer day. Now imagine that slip and slide is 1,000 feet long and runs the length of your city, or the equivalent of three football fields.

Well that sort of thing happened over the weekend in Salt Lake City where the Slide the City event took place. The Slide was partnered with local Ronald McDonald House Charities and cost sliders $25 to ride three times during the day.

The massive slip and slide moves from city to city to bring the soapy vinyl to communities all over the US, and even a few in Canada.

The party invites families and friends out to enjoy music, food, drinks, water and of course the massive slide. People are encouraged to bring water balloons, buckets and floaties to the event to splash and play all day. According to the Slide the City website Vancouver is expected to host the event, but an exact date has not yet been chosen.
