Police in Marysville, Washington have released more information about the high school shooting that took place on Friday north of Seattle.

A student walked into the Marysville Pilchuck High School cafeteria on Friday and starting shooting other students. So far police have confirmed that two people are dead, the shooter and a female victim while four others have been critically injured. The shooter has been identified as freshman Jaylen Fryberg, 14, and his family addressed the media to apologize for his actions. Witnesses say Fryberg fatally shot himself, shot one student in the jaw and another in the head.

All activities at the school have been cancelled throughout the weekend and several roads in the area have been closed off. The school will also be closed for the next week out of respect for the students and their families. The ATF says it has a “successful trace” on the weapon used and that it was legally acquired.

Just the day before the shooting Fryberg posted several tweets that are full of anger and emotion. The shooting information is still unfolding and more information is expected to be released by the Marysville Police.
