The only drive-in movie theatre in the Okanagan will open for the season this coming weekend.
The Starlight Drive-In Theatre in Enderby will officially re-open for the season on Friday, May 1st and will provide movie-goers with the ultimate outdoor experience. The drive-in will begin the season with two of the biggest movies of the year, Fifty Shades of Grey and Furious 7. The Starlight will feature the films on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with a double showing beginning at 8:45 p.m and then at 11:30 p.m.

Boasting the largest drive-in screen in North America, the Starlight often has cars lined up along the highway as people wait to watch under the stars. The drive-in offers two movies at a price of $10 per person, children four to 12 are $6 each, and children three and under are free.

Located 55 minutes away from Kelowna, 22 minutes from Vernon and Salmon Arm, the drive-in is a popular attraction for locals and tourists. If you are planning on heading to the movies, be sure to keep in mind that the box office accepts cash and debit, the concession accepts cash only and the Starlight offers the lowest concession prices in the province. Buying your beverages, candy, popcorn, hot dogs, fries, and nachos from the drive-in helps support the local business.

Beginning June 19th the drive-in will be open every night until the beginning of September. No matter the weather, the show will go on at Starlight, so be prepared for all types of conditions. Gates to the driveway open approximately two hours prior to showtime and the concession opens one hour before the show.
If you are planning on taking in a show this weekend, it is recommended that you show up early as the line-ups can be long for the popular theatre. Tips for those heading to the drive-in include bringing lawn chairs, blankets and lots of pillows.
