The title for Star Wars: Episode VIII has been revealed.

After Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ruled the box office in 2016, the next release will jump the franchise back to where things left off at the end of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

“We have the greatest fans in this or any other galaxy,” the film franchise said in a written release. “In appreciation of the fans, we wanted them to be the first to know the title of the next chapter in the Skywalker saga: Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

The film is scheduled to be released on December 15th, 2017.

The Last Jedi is written and directed by Rian Johnson.

It’ll be produced by Katheen Kennedy and Ram Bargman with executive producers J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin and Tom Karnowski.
