Imagine showing up at Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean ride only to find the actual Jack Sparrow.

That’s what happened for a handful of people on Wednesday, as Johnny Depp made an appearance at the theme park.

Notice was put up for guests, saying that there would be some filming on the ride during the day.

Little did anyone know that the main star from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies would be the one showing up to film.

“I seriously cannot believe I saw Johnny Depp at Disneyland tonight,” said one of the lucky guests on Twitter. “Best night ever!”

Depp first greeted fans outside the ride as they waited in line, but he really gave them a taste of the Jack Sparrow character inside the ride.

That’s where Depp really got into his Jack Sparrow character, stumbling around with his sword and saying drunken nonsense to the boats that floated by.

There’s no word yet on what Depp was filming for.
