A couple of familiar faces in the Okanagan will be teaming up to form Kelowna’s newest radio morning show.

Beach Radio announced today that Ara Andonian and Toby Tannas would make up the station’s new morning show, which will begin at the end of March.

“We are set to deliver a fun, local, upbeat, energetic morning show with all the right ingredients,” said Russell James, program director of Beach Radio.

“Beach Mornings with Ara and Toby will debut March 26th at 6am, and we can’t wait for you to meet them.”

Andonian is no stranger to Kelowna radio listeners, having spent time as the afternoon host on 99.9 Sun FM.

The 38-year-old left Sun FM in his late 20s to host a morning show on 91.7 The Bounce in Edmonton before moving back to afternoons on KISS Radio in Vancouver.

He’s now returning to Kelowna to host what will be known as Beach Mornings with Ara and Toby.

Tannas is no stranger to the media scene in Kelowna either, formerly anchoring the news on Global Okanagan.

She also owns her own clothing store, Influence Clothing, and contributes as a columnist to Boulevard Magazine.

Beach Radio launched in October and plays music from the 1980s and 90s at 103.1 on the FM dial.
