Concession food at the movie theatre is known to break the bank, but you can save a few bucks if you catch a flick this Friday. Cineplex is giving away free bags of popcorn to Scene cardholders at all 163 Canadian locations.
The promotion is being offered in celebration of National Popcorn Day and is available at all theatres for every movie and every showtime on Jan. 19.
Scene members need to scan their membership card or the barcode on the Scene app at the theatre’s concession to receive a free small bag of popcorn. The offer is valid for one bag per Scene member.
Some #random popcorn facts: According to Cineplex, moviegoers in Saskatchewan consume more popcorn per capita than any other province and moviegoers in Edmonton consume popcorn than anywhere else in Canada.
