Another Hollywood celebrity is responding to allegations from a female colleague, but not about sexual assault.

Comedian Charlyne Yi took to Twitter on Sunday to share her story about meeting fellow comedian, and Arrested Development star, David Cross a decade ago.

Yi alleges that Cross made fun of her tattered pants and when she didn’t respond he said “what’s a matter? You don’t speak english? Ching-chong-ching-chong.”

She says that he followed that up by using a southern accent to ask an offended Yi if she was going to fight him using karate.

Cross responded to the allegations with shock, tweeting back “Charlene, I don’t remember this at all! It’s bonkers to me and WAY, way out of character.”

A short time later, the comedian published a full length explanation and apologized to Yi.

“This accusation from Charlyne took me by surprise and was deeply upsetting,” he wrote.

“I would never intentionally hurt someone like that. I do not remember doing this when I met her.”

He emphatically added that he wasn’t accusing Yi of lying in any way and he’s “truly sorry” if he hurt her.

Yi has yet to say anything publicly about the response from Cross.
