Harry Dean Stanton died on Friday at the age of 91.
Stanton was best known for his role as Jack, the father of Molly Ringwald's character, Andie, in the 1986 cult classic, Pretty In Pink, starring Molly Ringwald.
But his career as a character actor spanned 60 years, appearing in more than 100 films such as, Cool Hand Luke, The Godfather Part II, Escape from New York, The Green Mile, Alien, Alpha Dog and many more.

Stanton was also a musician and performed on stage with Kris Kristofferson.
Born in Kentucky in 1926, Stanton passed away in Los Angeles California on September 15th.
