The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is winding down, but there's still lots of A-list stars making their way to the City and giving fans several photo opportunities.

On Tuesday night, Kate Winslet was interviewed by Film In Vancouver about what it was like working in Vancouver last year on her latest film, The Mountain Between Us, with co-star Idris Elba.

Without skipping a beat, Winslet showered praises on the City of Vancouver, especially Deep Cove, host of Honey Doughnuts & Goodies.

In the interview, Winslet said she 'pines for' Honey Doughnuts.

As well, when they were leaving, she acknowledged she and her husband were blown away by the stunning scenery in B.C. and that they were trying to figure out a way to stay or return long-term to Vancouver someday.

The owner of Honey Doughnuts & Goodies, Sahak Saferali saw the interview last night.

"That was really awesome," said Saferali to KelownaNow. "I mentioned to someone, 'If you're nice to people, anybody, regardless of their status, good things will come to you.'"

Saferali said that Winslet's husband had visited the bakery several times last year.

"We didn't know it was her husband. We found out later on, so he must've gone home and said something to his wife," he said.

While the doughnuts are popular, along with the other goodies, Saferali said it's the service that leaves an impression on people, as everyone receives the same treatment.

"Anybody that comes in here, we're good to them."

Saferali moved to Deep Cove 22 years ago, when he bought the business.

He loves Deep Cove and describes it as a "safe, friendly little village."

Whether or not the shop will be busier today based due to last night's interview is tough to say as it's still early, but Saferali certainly hopes that will be the case.

Winslet's latest film, The Mountain Between Us, debuted at TIFF on September 9th and will be released in the U.S. on October 6th, 2017.
