Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park in West Kelowna will be hosting the Winter Magic event on December 16th and 17th. The event will take place between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. All are welcome to join and decorate a tree in hazelnut grove.
Craft tables will be set up for people to make ornaments and indigenous style decorations.
On both days, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. the grove will open for public viewing. Bring your family and enjoy hot chocolate and refreshments under the warming tent!
The event is free for everyone. If you wish to bring your own ornaments you are asked to ensure that they are suitable for outdoor conditions.
Everyone is reminded not to bring glass ornaments or keepsake ornaments as the safety of the item cannot be guaranteed. All ornaments can be retrieved after December 17th.
Carpooling is encouraged as there is limited parking available in the Nut Farm parking lot.
The Cove Lakeside Resort is making overflow above and underground parking available for Winter Magic participants.
The resort is also hosting a Selfies with Santa event on December 16th from 2p.m. to 6 p.m. in the resort lobby. Everyone is asked to bring their own cameras. Cash donations are encouraged and will go to sponsoring families through the Westside Community Foodbank.
