Original Story:

Highway 3 is closed in both directions because of a rockslide west of Keremeos, according to DriveBC.

The slide came down just before 4:00 p.m. 12 kilometres west of the town and an assessment is currently in progress. The highway is closed in both directions but a detour is available via Highway 5a and Highway 97C.

There’s no word yet if there are any injuries or damage because of the slide and the size of the slide is underdetermined at this time. We’ll have more information as it becomes available. Check DriveBC for the latest updates and estimated time of opening.
