The alpine snow base may be slowly disappearing at Big White, but there’s still some great skiing left to be had.

Despite now new snow over the last seven days, the alpine snow base remains at 209 centimetres.

It’s that wonderful time of year where there’s still a good chunk of snow left on the mountain, but it’s also warm and beautiful weather-wise.

“With all this warm weather, you’re going to want to make sure your slipping and sliding down the slopes with the right wax,” said a release from Big White this morning.

“Bring your skis or snowboard into Big White’s repair shop to have them waxed for spring skiing!”

To start the day at Big White, it’s 4°C with unlimited visibility, clear skies and calm winds.

All of the resort’s lifts remain open and 116 of 119 runs are open to the public today.
