Big White issues a 'Powder Alert' with over 15cm of fresh snow

Skiers and snowboarders are getting their first solid snow day of the 2019/2020 season as an official “Powder Alert” is being issued at Big White Ski Resort.

After a heavy day of snowfall on Saturday, the mountain has received a total of 15 centimeters of fresh snow, including 10 cm of the coveted Okanagan champagne powder.

The Alpine snow base is now sitting comfortably at 71 cm! 

Today’s conditions will be nearly perfect with clear skies and visibility, light winds and temperatures sitting around -6C. 

There are currently seven lifts open, including the Telus Terrain Park Lift, giving access to 27 runs.
